Corpus Christi

I'm back from Corpus, it was a BLAST!!! I left early last Saturday and came back Thursday. Saturday when we got there we all just laid around and Melissa cooked Chicken Spaghetti, it was very yummy. Monday we all woke up early Austin cooked us pancakes and bacon as we all got ready, we then left for South Padre Island around 11:30 and got there around 2:00. During our trip down there Melissa and I got pulled over by a cop that said we were going 71 in a 65, we clearly were not. We had old grandmas passing us we were going so slow. Melissa disagreed with the cop and he let us go after asking us all the questions while Mel was trying to find her insurance card, which she never found. It was kinda funny because as the cop said ok ladies have a good day and was walking off Mel was like ah sir… I replied with SHUT UP he is letting us go don’t call him back. We laughed about that the whole trip. When we finally got there Melissa’s sister and her friend went and played on the beach while Mel, her mom, and I all went out and ate at this place call the Texas Moon it was very good. Mel got a steak that was out of this world. Monday Mel, Natalie, Ariel, and I all went to Slitterbaun, it was a blast besides us all get sunburned despite the fact we used a whole bottle of sunscreen plus more. When we got back to the hotel the room was decorated for my birthday. It was very sweet, it kinda made me tear us since that was the second time I had EVER been away from my family on my birthday. The 4 of us got ready and went to this place called Amberjacks, it was AMAZING some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. I had coconut shrimp and lobster mash potatoes that were out of this world. We sat outside while we were eating and watched the sunset it was a perfect picture opportunity. Tuesday was my birthday wow 22 it doesn’t seem like I'm that old. We went to a sea life eco center where you could hold all the sea life, which was pretty cool. After that we went on a Dolphin watch, they came right up to our boat and did like a little show for us. It was a great day! On our way home we were stopped at border patrol for like a second Border Patrol “Are you an American citizen?” Melissa and I “YEP” Border Patrol” Ok have a good day” Dog” RUFF RUFF RUFF” I was just amazed they didn’t ask for our ID’s or anything. Once we got home Austin, Melissa, and I went and ate at this place called Thai Cottage and got Krispy Kream donuts YUMMY, that was a treat. That next day Mel and I went to the Texas State Aquarium and saw a dolphin show twice and looked at all the sea life that they had, it’s a pretty cool place to go a lot like Sea World just smaller. After the dolphin show we sat there for a min and watched the dolphins play, one of them had a football and threw it out of the water by where we were sitting. Mel and I joked I was a trainer for a second when I threw the ball back to the dolphin. Thursday I got my stuff packed and went to the airport. I flew from Corpus to Dallas and had an hour layover and then Dallas to Longview. The trip was a blast, but there is no place like home and I very much missed everyone. I can’t wait to get to go again.
